Product description
The Prestige Dressage Saddle X-D2 K (Monoflap) is a revolutionary product that supports the actual anatomy of both sexes. With embroidery and patent leather inserts, it is not only visually appealing but also offers an unchanged feel while riding.
The rear part of the seat is considerably wider than in conventional dressage saddles and houses two injected membranes. This ensures improved comfort and optimal pressure distribution. For even more knee freedom, new high-mounted thigh blocks in various sizes can be chosen upon request.
The front girth straps are elastic, while the rear ones determine the balance of the saddle. This allows for ideal positioning and better synchronization between rider and horse.
A special feature of this saddle is the unique shoulder freedom with special cut-outs in the panel. This reduces pressure on the horse's shoulder area and ensures better weight distribution over a short area.
Additionally, new CP panels with shoulder freedom are available upon request. These offer a shortened bearing surface at the front and adapt optimally to various horse types.
The Prestige Dressage Saddle X-D2 K (Monoflap) comes with the accessory 3F021 - Trapezium Pad, which is essential for a perfect saddle fit.
With this saddle, you receive a high-quality product that considers both the rider's comfort and the horse's well-being. Experience a new dimension of dressage riding with the Prestige Dressage Saddle X-D2 K (Monoflap).
- Shoulder-free panels
- Larger bearing surface

Prestige Saddle Configurator
Here you will find the options to individually configure your Prestige saddle. Please note that not every option is available for every model.
First, select the leather type as a variation (if several leather types are available). In the next step, click the "Configure" button and follow the individual steps. At the end, you can add the selected configuration to your shopping cart and complete the purchase.
Please note the delivery time of the saddle. Usually, the saddle is produced individually according to your selection criteria.
For this reason, a configured saddle cannot be returned (right of withdrawal).
Saddle Tree
The saddle tree is predefined for each model and cannot be selected individually. Which saddle tree is installed in which model can be found in the product description of the saddle.
The following saddle trees are available from Prestige:
Standard
The standard Prestige saddle tree is made of plastic. The material is particularly stable, resistant to external influences such as moisture, and lightweight. The gullet width can be thermally altered with a special machine.
X-Technology Tree
Depending on the saddle model, this saddle tree has one or no cut-out in the front part and two cut-outs in the rear area where the seat bones rest. The cut-outs are covered with elastic rubber membranes.
Advantages
The membranes increase the comfort and stability of the rider. For female riders, the feeling of comfort and stability is even more pronounced with trees that offer a wider seat in the rear part, such as in models X-D2, X-Perience, and X-Contact K (unisex effect).
Who benefits from X-Technology?
• For those seeking a close-contact feeling with the horse: it is guaranteed by the membranes on which the rider's seat bones rest when seated in the saddle;
• for those seeking a more comfortable seat while maintaining sporting performance;
• for riders who desire more stability in the saddle. X-D2, X-Perience, and X-Contact K, thanks to the "unisex effect," can provide women with a wider pelvis, who often have difficulty achieving a close connection with the horse, a predefined but unforced position.
X-Breath Tree
Depending on the saddle model, this saddle tree has one or two oval cut-outs in the center of the seat. The cut-out is covered with an ultra-elastic honeycomb fabric, which guarantees an anatomically comfortable position for the rider, while being balanced for the horse. The cut-out also provides more breathability.
This is a technology applied to the saddle tree, consisting of an oval cut-out in the center of the rear part of the tree. This cut-out is covered by an elastic and breathable honeycomb fabric. In the X-BREATH K, there is an additional cut-out in the front part of the tree.
Advantages
These cut-outs provide better breathability and reduce the heat endured by the horse and rider. The rear cut-out makes the seat more comfortable by relieving the spine from the stresses it is normally exposed to. Additionally, saddles with X-Breath technology are lighter.
Who benefits from X-Breath Technology?
• For those who like a breathable and comfortable seat;
• for riders who desire physical well-being by reducing the strain on the spine and tailbone;
• for those seeking a lighter saddle;
• for those who have a downhill feeling on the horse or ride a thoroughbred.
CPS Tree or “Coccyx-Protection-System”
A saddle tree with a new geometric shape with injected membranes and a
differentiated capacity to absorb all stresses and movements. This concept was developed to protect the seat bones, tailbone, and back, and is visible through the soft plexiglass viewing window at the bottom of the saddle.
Advantages
These membranes dampen all stresses and movements while protecting the rider's seat bones, tailbone, and back. They were developed with consideration for the anatomy of men and women.
Who benefits from CPS Technology?
• For those who want a more elastic and softer seat: the central gray
• membrane creates a shock-absorbing feeling for the rider's spine and for the horse;
• for those who desire physical well-being;
• for riders who seek a comfortable seat. The tree with this technology is particularly intended for female riders due to the wider rear part
• for riders who have a downhill feeling on the horse and difficulty finding a balanced position;
• for dressage riders who have difficulty finding a deep seat feeling with a horse built downhill;
• for show jumpers who want to get back in the saddle faster after a jump.
Leather Type and Color
The following leather variations and colors are available
Cuoio
Prestige's standard leather is smooth full-grain leather or grained leather.
D
Double-layered small and large saddle flaps. In calfskin or cowhide. Thickness: 4.3mm.
Lux
Oiled double-layered calfskin or 4.5mm thick grained leather that undergoes a long tanning process for optimal grip.
Super
4.5mm thick, very soft and robust grained leather that undergoes a natural tanning process.
Elite
Double-layered small and large saddle flaps (5.2mm thick). Smooth leather or grained leather that undergoes a natural tanning process.
Seat Size
The seat size is an important aspect when buying a saddle, as this size cannot be changed later. When choosing the seat size, the bearing surface of the horse's back, the size or leg length, and the rider's weight should play a role.
Recommended maximum weight for each seat size:
- Seat size 15: 40 kg
- Seat size 16: 41-55 kg
- Seat size 17: 56-79 kg
- Seat size 18: 80-120 kg
Gullet Width
For most Prestige models, a gullet width from 31 to 37 can be selected. The gullet widths from 31 to 37 are always 1 cm larger or narrower for each gullet width compared to the standard size 33 (measured at the end of the tree points). For models X-D2, X-D2 K, X-D2 K FREE, X-D1, X-D1 K, X-D1 SC, and D1 SC, the tree sizes are divided as follows:
- S: up to gullet width 32
- M: gullet widths 33 and 34 (X-D2 K Free 32 and 33)
- L: from gullet width 35
Saddle Panels
Wool panels or classically padded panels
Classically padded saddle panels filled with synthetic wool. These panels are very easily adjustable by a saddler.
LPF Panels:
Panels filled with synthetic Dacron fiber, honeycomb mesh, and a thin layer of rubber. Thanks to this special composition, these panels are lighter than classic panels. These panels are also very easily adjustable by a saddler. LPF (Light Performance Fit) panels consist of an Airnet shell and foam towards the horse's back. The filling is made of Dacron, a synthetic wool fiber.
Advantages
These panels are lightweight, elastic, and easily modifiable. They also adapt very well to the modern horse. These panels combine the reduced thickness and close-contact feel typical of latex panels with the shock-absorbing and highly adaptable properties of a padded panel.
Who benefits from LPF panels?
For riders who do not want to forego the feeling of being close to the horse, but believe that an optimally fitting saddle is an essential prerequisite for the well-being and performance of the horse.
Latex Panels:
Pre-formed foam panels made of expanded polyurethane.
Saddle Flaps
Basically, a distinction is made between standard saddle flaps, i.e., double-flap saddles with a sweat flap on the horse and a saddle flap or large saddle skirt on top, and monoflap saddle flaps (K), in which only one saddle flap is installed. The monoflap version usually allows for somewhat closer contact with the horse's body and always has long girth straps.
The saddle flap is always fixed for the model and not configurable. For monoflap saddles, you will always find a K in the saddle name.
- Standard: Double-flap saddles
- K: Monoflap saddles
Forward Projection of the Saddle Flap
The forward projection describes the design of the saddle flap towards the front. Riders with particularly long legs usually find more room for their legs with more forward projection and can thus generally buckle the stirrup shorter and balance themselves better. However, care should be taken with the forward projection, as too much forward projection can quickly restrict the horse's shoulder freedom.
The following forward projection options are available from Prestige:
- A-2: -2cm
- A Standard
- A+2 / A: +2cm
- A+4 / AA: +4cm
- A+6 / AAA: +6cm
Length of the Saddle Flap
The length of the saddle flap describes the downward length of the saddle flap. The length of the saddle flap should also correlate with the rider's height.
- XS -5cm
- S -2.5m
- M 0 (standard)
- L +2.5cm
- XL +5cm
- XXL +7cm
As for jumping saddles, these will also have a little more forward projection at the front with longer saddle flaps.
Shoulder Free Variant SF
Available in classically padded and latex panels, but only on some models. Special panels, specially developed for more shoulder freedom. Particularly suitable for horses with prominent shoulders.
