The Bedale is made from 6oz waxed cotton (Sylkoil) and was first launched in 1980. Characteristic features such as a 2-way zipper with snap fastener placket, two large bellows pockets and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, as well as the corduroy collar, give the jacket an unmistakable look. The Bedale Jacket is characterized by its slightly shorter cut and ribbed knit cuffs at the sleeve ends.
The jacket is still made today in the company's own production facility in South Shields, in the North East of England.
The jacket can be complemented with a warming inner lining and a hood.
