The slightly longer-cut Beaufort waxed jacket can be comfortably worn over a suit jacket. Characteristic details such as the soft corduroy collar, a robust 2-way zipper, and practical handwarmer pockets give the weather-resistant waxed jacket an unmistakably classic look. Key features of the jacket include a zippered back pocket, an easily accessible zippered pocket under the storm flap, and a cotton lining with a tartan pattern. The cuffs have a polyester insert on the inside, which is adjustable with a Velcro fastener and protects against penetrating moisture. To this day, the jacket, made from waxed cotton, is manufactured in the company's own production facility in South Shields, Northeast England. The jacket can be supplemented with a warming lining and a hood.
