The Bedale is made from 6oz waxed cotton (Sylkoil) and was first launched in 1980. Characteristic elements such as a 2-way zip with a snap fastener placket, two large bellow pockets and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, as well as the corduroy collar, give the jacket an unmistakable look. The Bedale Jacket is characterised by its slightly shorter cut and ribbed cuffs at the sleeve ends. The jacket is still manufactured today in the company's own production facility in South Shields, in the North East of England. The jacket can be supplemented with a warm lining and a hood.
