The slightly longer-cut Beaufort wax jacket can be comfortably worn over a blazer. Characteristic details such as the soft corduroy collar, a robust two-way zipper, and practical hand warmer pockets give the weather-resistant wax jacket an unmistakably classic look. Features of the jacket include a zippered pocket on the back, an easily accessible zippered pocket under the storm flap, and the cotton lining with a tartan pattern. The sleeve ends have a polyester insert on the inside that is adjustable with a Velcro fastener and protects against penetrating moisture. To this day, the jacket, made of waxed cotton, is manufactured in the company's own production facility in South Shields, northeast England.
