The slightly longer cut Beaufort wax jacket can be comfortably worn over a blazer. Characteristic details such as the soft corduroy collar, a robust two-way zipper, and practical handwarmer pockets give the weather-resistant wax jacket a distinctive classic look. The jacket features a zippered pocket on the back, an easily accessible zippered pocket under the storm flap, and a cotton lining with a tartan pattern. The cuffs have an inner polyester insert, adjustable with Velcro, to protect against moisture. Even today, the jacket, made from waxed cotton, is produced in the company's own manufacturing facility in South Shields, northeast England.
