It features a particularly flexible area on the sides to reduce pressure on the lower jawbones. The shape and angle of the joint allow for even pressure on the tongue, so that blood flow remains almost unrestricted. The Pelham is a classic with a refined, more elegant design. It acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll; depending on the lever length of the shanks (5 cm or 7.5 cm), a different strong and immediate bit angle in the mouth can be achieved. With its special surface coating, it sits well in the mouth even with horses that salivate little and is readily accepted by virtually all horses. The bit thickness is 18 mm.
