When inflated, it protects the entire spine from the neck to the tailbone, prevents the head from whipping back during a fall, and does not push the head forward. EquiAirbag® gives the rider freedom of movement and also allows for rolling during a fall. The airbag showed a transmission force of 0.9 kN in tests, an excellent value compared to the maximum permissible limit of 9 kN according to the standard. The inflation time of the airbag is only 80/85 milliseconds. EquiAirbag® is patented. All Flexi safety vests combined with the EquiAirbag module are certified according to EN 13158-2009 / BETA Standard Level 3 and EN 1621-4, providing the safest upper body protection for riders currently available! Attention: EquiAirbag® for Flexi may only be used in conjunction with the USG safety vests "Eco Flexi", "Flexi", "Flexi Motion", and "Flexi Evolution". Simple and safe to use. EquiAirbag® is active when the rider hooks the activation cable to the right front ring of the saddle after mounting. If the rider falls from the horse, the coiled cable mechanically activates the integrated airbag. The rider is never firmly connected to the horse. Should the airbag be activated, the rider can still continue riding unhindered, remount, dismount, or remove themselves from dangerous situations. Due to its uncomplicated handling, EquiAirbag® is also very suitable for competition and training and, if undamaged, can be refilled indefinitely. Weight including CO2 cartridge: approx. 1,100 grams.
