The mouthpiece of this bit is single jointed. The bit has a mouthpiece size of 12.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well suited for sporty thoroughbreds.

Bit Thickness

The mouthpiece has a thickness of 12 millimeters at its thickest point. It is therefore a rather thin mouthpiece.

In comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses, and Shire Horses usually need a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
