Double jointed mouthpieces are suitable for many horses. This mouthpiece has two joints, is shaped more towards the mouth and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, bars and corners of the mouth. The bit should not be used on narrow lower jaws. The joints can press on the bars if the lower jaw is narrow.
