Double jointed mouthpieces are suitable for many horses. This mouthpiece has two joints, is more shaped towards the mouth and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, bars and corners of the mouth. The bit should not be used on horses with narrow lower jaws. The hinge points can press on the bars, which can lead to sores.
