The bridoon is used in combination with a Weymouth bit. It is available with single and double jointed mouthpiece variations. The difference to other snaffles lies in the rings (e.g. eggbutt rings), which are significantly smaller than the rings of normal bits. The bridoon is usually chosen half to one cm larger than the Weymouth bit, as the Weymouth bit is a solid bar and the bridoon is jointed. Bar Bits
