The Trust Sweet Iron Kimblehook High Port Bit 16mm 14.5 is made of Sweet Iron and equipped with Kimblewick cheekpieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a straight bar. The bit has a mouthpiece size of 14.5 centimeters. A mouthpiece size of 14.5cm is usually ideal for very large warmbloods.

Bit Thickness

The bit is 16mm thick, measured at the thickest point in the area of the horse's lips. This makes it a rather medium-thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
