The Trust Bit Sweet Iron Curbgag French Link Copper Plate 16mm 14.5 is made of Sweet Iron and equipped with so-called Curbgag rings. The mouthpiece of this bit is a French Link, which means an eight-shaped plate as the center piece of a double-jointed mouthpiece. The bit has a size of 14.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well suited for very large warmbloods.

Bit Thickness

The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20mm at its thickest point. It is therefore a rather thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually need a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
