The mouthpiece of this bit is a French Link, which is an eight-shaped plate as the center piece of a double-jointed mouthpiece. The bit has a mouthpiece size of 11.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well suited for athletic thoroughbreds.

The French Link mouthpiece has two hinge points and an eight-shaped plate in the middle, which applies even pressure to the tongue. This mouthpiece is double-jointed, is shaped more towards the mouth, and lies somewhat looser in the horse's mouth.

Universal/Swivel
The universal bit, also called Beval or Swivel, usually has rings as side pieces, with internal eyelets at the top and bottom. These allow for additional attachment of cheekpieces and reins, making the bit very flexible. With the Beval, the mouthpiece is attached to a central axis of the ring.
