The Elevator Gag can be ridden with two reins. The second rein, with increased pressure, causes the bit to tilt and pull up in the corner of the mouth. This means increased action. Very good for horses that tend to lean on the bit. Also usable for horses to achieve increased head carriage.

The French Link mouthpiece is a double-jointed mouthpiece with an eight-shaped plate in the middle that exerts even pressure on the tongue. This mouthpiece has two hinge points, is more shaped towards the mouth, and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth.
