The Trust Bit Sweet Iron Full Cheek Elevator Bit French Bar 16mm 13.5 is made of Sweet Iron and features full cheeks as side pieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The mouthpiece has a width of 13.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally suitable for a normal warmblood.
Bit Thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 16 millimeters at its thickest point. It is therefore a medium-thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.

Full Cheek Elevator Bit
The full cheek elevator bit combines the effect of an elevator bit and a full cheek bit. The full cheek bit limits the horse laterally and provides stability, and also prevents the bit rings from slipping through. The elevator bit is connected to the bridle via elevator cheek pieces that are pulled through the bit rings. This achieves a leveraged action depending on the degree of rein uptake.
