The Trust Sweet Iron 3-Ring Snaffle Bit, Single Jointed, 16mm, 14.5 is made of Sweet Iron and features 3-ring cheekpieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is single jointed. The mouthpiece has a width of 14.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well-suited for very large warmbloods.

Bit Thickness

The bit is 20mm thick, measured at the thickest point in the horse's commissure. It is therefore a rather thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
