The Trust Bit Sweet Iron 2.5-Ring Snaffle French Bar 16mm 14.5 is made of Sweet Iron and equipped with 3-ring cheek pieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The bit has a width of 14.5 centimeters. The 14.5cm mouthpiece size is usually ideal for very large warmbloods.
Bit Thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20mm at its thickest point. It is therefore rather a thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
