The Trust Bit Sweet Iron 2.5-Ring Eggbutt Waterford Link Mouthpiece 16mm 11.5 is made of Sweet Iron and features 2.5 ring cheekpieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a Waterford or multi-jointed. A multi-jointed or Waterford mouthpiece consists of a series of rounded links. It is a flexible bit that molds to the horse's mouth and creates even pressure. It can move in all directions, making it difficult for the horse to lean on the bit, allowing the rider to maintain proper control. In soft hands, this mouthpiece is soft and kind, but with a strong hand, the bit can be sharp.

Cheekpiece

2.5-Ring

Combines effective lateral restriction, leverage, and lifting action in one bit, while usually being somewhat softer than a 3-ring bit. The degree of action is chosen by the various attachment options for the reins. When attached to the lower ring, the taking rein exerts the effect of a short lever on the bit.
