The Trust Equestrian development team continuously works on innovative products to further optimize the design and effectiveness of bits. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Trust Inno Sense Loose Ring Snaffle bit with large rings flexi soft 20mm 14.5 from the Trust Equestrian range:
The Trust Inno Sense Loose Ring Snaffle bit with large rings flexi soft 20mm 14.5 is made of plastic and equipped with loose ring snaffle cheekpieces, i.e., rings. The mouthpiece of this bit is a straight bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, meaning flexible. The bit has a mouthpiece size of 14.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well suited for very large warmbloods.
Bit thickness
The bit is 20mm thick, measured at the thickest point in the area of the horse's lips. It is therefore a rather thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually need a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
When selecting the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to check how much space there is between the tongue and palate.
Bit material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, which means no plasticizers are used and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can glide easily in the mouth, even with little salivation.
Manufacturer information
Trust Equestrian
The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by innovation and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly quality controlled.
Mouthpiece
Straight bar bits
A straight bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A straight bar mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Cheekpiece
Loose ring snaffle
The loose ring snaffle has two freely moving rings at each end. A movable ring means greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The Trust Inno Sense Loose Ring Snaffle bit with large rings flexi soft 20mm 14.5 is therefore ideal for beginners and horses that are somewhat inactive in the mouth.
