The bit range from Trust Equestrian provides soft but effective impulses for better communication between rider and horse. Today we would like to introduce you to the Trust Inno Sense Swivel Plastic Mullen Soft bit from the Trust Equestrian range in more detail:
The Trust Inno Sense Swivel Plastic Mullen Soft bit is made of plastic and equipped with so-called Universal rings. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, i.e. flexible.
Bit Thickness
The bit is 20mm thick, measured at the thickest point in the area of the horse's lips. It is therefore a rather thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is rather 10mm to 14mm. Very large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses and Shire Horses usually need a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
When selecting the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can test with your fingers how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.
Bit Material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, which means no plasticizers are used and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can glide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva flow.
Manufacturer Information
Trust Equestrian
The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by its innovative spirit and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly quality-controlled.
Mouthpiece
Bar bits
A bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A bar mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Cheek Piece
Universal/Swivel
The universal bit, also known as Beval or Swivel, usually has rings as side pieces, with internal eyelets at the top and bottom. These allow for additional attachment of cheek pieces and reins, making the bit very flexible. With the Beval, the mouthpiece is attached in a central axis of the ring.
