Trust Bit Inno Sense Olive Head Weymouth Bradoon Plastic Bar Mullen Soft

In a nutshell

  • Manufacturer: Trust Equestrian
  • Material: Plastic
  • Cheekpiece: Weymouth Bradoon
  • Mouthpiece: Bar
  • Hardness: soft
  • Bit thickness: 20mm
  • Size: cm

The bit assortment from Trust Equestrian provides soft but effective impulses for better communication between rider and horse. Today we would like to introduce you to the Trust Bit Inno Sense Olive Head Weymouth Bradoon Plastic Bar Mullen soft from the Trust Equestrian range:

The bit Trust Bit Inno Sense Olive Head Weymouth Bradoon Plastic Bar Mullen soft is made of plastic and equipped with smaller cheekpieces as a bradoon for Weymouth bits. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, meaning flexible.

Bit Thickness

The bit is 20mm thick, measured at the thickest part in the area of the horse's lips. This makes it a rather thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is typically between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.

Bradoons for Weymouth bits usually have a thickness of 12mm to 14mm.

When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and palate.

Bit Material

Plastic

Food-grade plastic is used for bits, meaning no plasticizers are used, and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can slide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva production.

Manufacturer Information

Trust Equestrian

The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by its innovative spirit and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly controlled for quality.

Mouthpiece

Bar Bits

A bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A bar mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.

Cheekpiece

Bradoon

The bradoon is used in combination with a Weymouth bit. It is available in single and double-jointed mouthpiece variations. The difference to other snaffles lies in the rings (e.g., olive head rings), which are significantly smaller than the rings of normal bits. The bradoon is usually chosen half to a full cm larger than the Weymouth bit, as the Weymouth bit has a bar and the bradoon is jointed.
