The Trust Equestrian development team continuously works on innovative products to further optimize the design and function of bits. Today we would like to introduce you to the Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook Tongue Port Bar hard 20mm 13.5 from the Trust Equestrian range in more detail:
The Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook Tongue Port Bar hard 20mm 13.5 is made of plastic and equipped with Kimblewick cheek pieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather hard, almost rigid. The bit has a width of 13.5 centimeters. The mouthpiece size of 13.5cm is usually ideal for smaller and normal warmbloods.
Bit thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20mm at its thickest point. It is therefore a rather thick mouthpiece.
Comparative values: normal warmbloods 16 - 18mm, ponies rather 10 - 14mm, thoroughbreds 12 - 16mm and particularly large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses and Shire Horses rather 18mm and larger.
When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and palate.
Bit material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, which means no plasticizers are used and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can slide easily in the mouth, even with little salivation.
Manufacturer Information
Trust Equestrian
The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by innovation and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly quality controlled.
Mouthpiece
Bar Bits
A bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A bar mouthpiece has a sharper action than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Cheek piece
Kimblewick
The Kimblewick combines a leverage effect on the lower jaw branches, pressure on the poll, and a change in the position of the bit in the horse's mouth. The Kimblewick allows for three different attachment options, which enable a well-dosed use of the bit. The stable side pieces ensure a calm position in the mouth.
