The Trust Equestrian development team continuously works on innovative bits to further optimize their design and effectiveness. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook Synthetic Mullen Mouth soft 20mm 13.5 from the Trust Equestrian range in more detail:

The Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook Synthetic Mullen Mouth soft 20mm 13.5 is made of synthetic material and features Kimblewick shanks. The mouthpiece of this bit is a mullen. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, meaning it is flexible. The bit has a mouthpiece size of 13.5 centimeters. The 13.5cm mouthpiece size is usually ideal for smaller and normal warmbloods.

Bit Thickness

The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20mm at its thickest point. This makes it a rather thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.

When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical characteristics of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.

Bit Material

Synthetic

Food-grade synthetic material is used for bits, meaning no plasticizers are used and it is well-tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can slide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva production.

Manufacturer Information

Trust Equestrian

The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by innovation and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly quality-controlled.

Mouthpiece

Mullen Mouth Bits

A mullen is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A mullen mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.

Shank

Kimblewick

The Kimblewick combines a leverage effect on the lower jaw branches, pressure on the poll, and a change in the bit's position in the horse's mouth. The Kimblewick allows for three different rein attachment options, enabling a well-dosed use of the bit. The solid shanks are somewhat heavier, which ensures a quieter position in the horse's mouth.
