The Trust Equestrian development team continuously works on innovative products to further optimize the design and effectiveness of bits. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook flexi soft plastic bar from the Trust Equestrian range:
The Trust Bit Inno Sense Kimblehook flexi soft plastic bar is made of plastic and equipped with Kimblehook side pieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, meaning flexible.
Bit thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20 millimeters at its thickest point. This makes it a rather thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is more in the range of 10mm to 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.
Bit material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, meaning no plasticizers are used, and it is well-tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can glide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva production.
Manufacturer information
Trust Equestrian
The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by innovation and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and strictly controlled for quality.
Mouthpiece
Bar bits
A bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A bar mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Side piece
Kimblehook
The Kimblehook combines a leverage effect on the lower jaw branches, pressure on the poll, and a change in the bit's position in the horse's mouth. The Kimblehook allows for three different attachment options, enabling a well-dosed use of the bit. The solid side pieces are a bit heavier, which ensures a quieter position in the horse's mouth.
