The Trust Bit Inno Sense 2.5 Rings flexi soft Tongue Port Bar 20mm 13.5 is made of plastic and equipped with 3-ring sidepieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is a bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather soft, i.e. flexible. The bit has a width of 13.5 centimeters. This mouthpiece size is generally well suited for a normal warmblood.
Bit Thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 20 millimeters at its thickest point. This makes it a rather thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draft horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.
Bit Material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, meaning no plasticizer is used and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can glide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva flow.
Manufacturer Information

The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by its innovative spirit and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed and strictly quality-controlled by Trust's technical teams.
Mouthpiece
Bar Bits
A bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A bar mouthpiece has a sharper action than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Sidepiece
3-Ring
The three-ring bit combines an effective lateral restriction, leverage, and lifting action in one bit. The degree of influence is chosen by the different rein attachment options. When buckled into the lower ring, the giving rein exerts the action of a short lever on the bit. The 3-ring bit is often used to test the horse's reaction to leverage.
