Trust Equestrian bits are selected with the utmost care and made from the most suitable materials. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Trust Inno Sense 2.5-Ring Snaffle Bit with Tongue Port Bar, Hard from the Trust Equestrian range in more detail:
The Trust Inno Sense 2.5-Ring Snaffle Bit with Tongue Port Bar, Hard is made of plastic and features 2.5 ring cheeks. The mouthpiece of this bit is a straight bar. The hardness of the mouthpiece material is rather hard, almost rigid.
Bit Thickness
The mouthpiece has a thickness of 18mm at its thickest point. This makes it a medium-thick mouthpiece.
For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, cold-blooded horses, and Shire Horses usually require a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.
When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to test how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.
Bit Material
Plastic
Food-grade plastic is used for bits, which means no plasticizers are used and it is well tolerated by horses. The particularly smooth texture ensures that the bit can slide easily in the mouth, even with little saliva production.
Manufacturer Information
Trust Equestrian
The Dutch bit manufacturer Trust Equestrian is characterized by innovation and craftsmanship. With the Inno Sense and Sweet Iron series, they are breaking new ground. The products are continuously developed by Trust's technical teams and rigorously quality controlled.
Mouthpiece
Straight Bar Bits
A straight bar is usually straight or slightly curved to adapt to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth. A straight bar mouthpiece has a sharper effect than a single-jointed or double-jointed mouthpiece.
Cheekpiece
2.5-Ring
A 2.5-ring bit allows for flexible rein attachment, achieving different leverage effects. The lower the reins are attached, the greater the effect on the bit and the horse's poll. With the 2.5-ring bit, the lower ring is integrated into the main ring.
