Horses lose significant amounts of body fluid in the form of sweat during intense exertion. These horses lose electrolytes in a ratio of: 2 sodium : 2 chloride : 1 potassium.
Scientists have shown that horses can lose up to 10 liters of body fluid during a race over a distance of 1 to 2 miles (1600 to 3200 meters).
Further electrolytes are lost through daily training, especially in hot temperatures.
Electrolyte deficiency leads to reduced performance, dehydration, muscle cramps, and/or heat-related exhaustion. Therefore, regular administration of electrolytes is of great importance for the well-being and optimal athletic performance of the horse.

Instructions for proper use:
Horses in training: 80ml daily
After a race or competition: 160ml
