Product description
Neutracid neutralizes lactic acid and replaces depleted base reserves to create optimal conditions for the horse's muscles during training or competition.
The accumulation of excessive lactic acid in the blood and muscles can lead to stiffness, muscle cramps, and damage to muscle fibers. The result is that the muscles can no longer perform their normal function of contracting and relaxing during exercise. They then maintain prolonged contraction or cramp, also known as "tying-up." Some horses are more prone to muscle cramping than others. A balanced diet and a sensible training program can significantly reduce or eliminate the occurrence of muscle cramps.
Neutracid neutralizes excessive lactic acid buildup in the blood and muscle tissue. It replenishes depleted base reserves and reduces the blood's pH value to a normal level.
Sodium Citrate neutralizes excess lactic acid that accumulates in the blood and muscle tissue. Citric Acid has a buffering function in cases of base deficiency or acidosis. Neutracid, administered as part of the diet, helps reduce acidification and protects against dehydration. Neutracid encourages the horse to drink more, and the result is that it urinates more accordingly. Acids and bases must be in a balanced relationship in the blood. Neutracid creates a neutral situation for blood and muscles, thus ensuring optimal conditions for competition. Neutracid helps horses sustain high-performance phases longer in competition.
