Product description

Stübben STEELtec Easy Control Full Cheek Snaffle, Double-Jointed

The Stübben STEELtec team continuously works on innovative bits to further optimize their design and functionality. Today, we would like to present the Stübben STEELtec Easy Control Full Cheek Snaffle, double-jointed, from the Stübben STEELtec range in more detail:

The Stübben STEELtec Easy Control Full Cheek Snaffle, double-jointed, is made of stainless steel and equipped with full cheeks or bars as sidepieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is double-jointed.

Sidepiece

Full Cheek Snaffles

The full cheek snaffle lies very quietly and stably in the mouth. It provides reliable lateral guidance without the risk of pinching the skin and lips due to the angled bars. This bit is suitable for horses that need clear lateral support and guidance when turning.

Mouthpiece

Double-jointed

Double-jointed mouthpieces are suitable for many horses. This mouthpiece has two hinges, is more shaped towards the mouth, and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, bars, and corners of the mouth. This bit should not be used on horses with narrow lower jaws. The joints can press on the bars in horses with narrow lower jaws. Compared to a single-jointed bit, this bit exerts more pressure on the tongue.

Bit Material

Stainless Steel

The most common material for bits is stainless steel. Stainless steel comes in various compositions and consists of steel and different metals. Steel, in turn, is iron that has been alloyed with carbon.

To obtain stainless steel, the steel is mixed with various metals to form different alloys. The most commonly used alloy for stainless steel bits consists of steel, chromium, and nickel.
