Product description

Stübben STEELtec Easy Control 3-Ring Bit, Double Jointed

The Stübben STEELtec bit range provides gentle yet effective impulses for better communication between rider and horse. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Stübben STEELtec Easy Control 3-Ring Bit, Double Jointed, from the Stübben STEELtec range:

The Stübben STEELtec Easy Control 3-Ring Bit, Double Jointed, is made of stainless steel and equipped with 3-ring side pieces. The mouthpiece of this bit is double jointed.

Side Piece

3-Ring

The three-ring bit combines effective lateral limitation, leverage, and a lifting effect in one bit. The degree of action is chosen by the various rein attachment options. If the rein is attached in the lower ring, the pulling rein exerts the effect of a short lever on the bit. The 3-ring bit is often used to test the horse's reaction to a leveraging effect.

Mouthpiece

Double Jointed

Double-jointed mouthpieces are suitable for many horses. This mouthpiece has two joints, is more shaped towards the mouth, and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, the bars, and the corners of the mouth. This bit should not be used for narrow lower jaws. The hinge points can press on the bars, which can lead to sores. The double-jointed bit exerts more pressure on the tongue than single-jointed bits.

Bit Material

Stainless Steel

The most common material for bits is stainless steel. Stainless steel comes in different compositions and consists of steel and various metals. Steel, in turn, is iron that has been alloyed with carbon.

To obtain stainless steel, the steel is mixed with various metals to form different alloys. The most commonly used alloy for stainless steel bits consists of steel, chromium, and nickel.
