The Sprenger Turnado Weymouth Bradoon Single Jointed Sensogan 14mm bit is made of Sensogan and features smaller cheek pieces, as a bradoon for Weymouth bits. The mouthpiece of this bit is single jointed.

Bit Thickness

The mouthpiece has a thickness of 14 millimeters at its thickest point. It is therefore a medium-thick mouthpiece.

Comparative values: normal warmbloods 16 - 18mm, ponies rather 10 - 14mm, thoroughbreds 12 - 16mm and particularly large warmbloods, draft horses and Shire Horses rather 18mm and larger.

The single jointed mouthpiece has a hinge in the middle, which exerts less pressure on the tongue than a double jointed mouthpiece. A single jointed mouthpiece primarily exerts pressure on the bars and the sides of the tongue and can also affect the palate.
