Product description

Sprenger KK Ultra Weymouth Bradoon Sensogan/Aurigan Rings Double Broken 14mm

The bit is 14mm thick, measured at the thickest point in the area of the horse's lips. This makes it a rather medium-thick mouthpiece.

For comparison, the standard thickness for a normal warmblood is between 16mm and 18mm. For ponies, this value is usually between 10mm and 14mm. Very large warmbloods, draught horses, and Shire Horses usually need a bit thicker than 18mm. A thickness of 12mm is usually suitable for a pony.

Weymouth bradoons usually have a thickness of 12mm to 14mm.

When choosing the bit thickness and size, pay attention to the anatomical conditions of the horse's mouth. You can use your fingers to check how much space there is between the tongue and the palate.

The Sprenger bit assortment provides soft but effective impulses for better communication between rider and horse. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Sprenger KK Ultra Weymouth Bradoon Sensogan/Aurigan Rings double broken 14mm from the Sprenger assortment in more detail:

The bit Sprenger KK Ultra Weymouth Bradoon Sensogan/Aurigan Rings double broken 14mm is made of Sensogan and equipped with smaller side pieces as a bradoon for Weymouth bits. The mouthpiece of this bit is double broken.

Sidepiece

Mouthpiece

double broken

Double-broken mouthpieces are suitable for many horses. This mouthpiece has two hinges, is shaped more towards the mouth, and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, the bars, and the corners of the mouth. Caution with narrow lower jaws! The joints can press on the bars in a narrow lower jaw. The double-broken bit exerts more pressure on the tongue compared to single-broken bits. Weymouth bradoon

The Weymouth bradoon is used in combination with a Weymouth bit. It is available in single and double broken mouthpiece variations. The difference to other snaffles lies in the rings (e.g., eggbutt rings), which are significantly smaller than the rings of normal bits. The Weymouth bradoon is usually chosen half to a whole cm larger than the Weymouth bit, as the Weymouth bit has a shank and the bradoon is broken.

Bit Material

Sensogan

The material mix Sensogan consists of copper, manganese, and zinc. The trace element manganese has a positive effect on the horse's metabolism and stress reduction. The combination of copper and manganese results in a dosed oxidation process that promotes chewing activity. Sprenger's Sensogan bits are characterized by high compatibility.
