This bit is suitable for horses that react sensitively to poll pressure. It lies very quietly in the mouth and encourages horses that carry their heads very high to lower them and become lighter in the poll. The B-snaffle is very similar to a Pelham in the upper part of the bit, because as with the Pelham, the cheekpiece is buckled in the upper, small ring.
