Product description
Where does the name Gselsbeer come from?
As a small child, my favorite food was strawberry jam for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And when the little fire imp had mischief in mind again, my parents' words were simple and concise: "Oh, you GSELSBEER!"
Strawberries are not only beautiful, but they deliver a special taste. The Gselsbeer is a spread, because according to EU regulations, jam is only permissible in combination with citrus fruits. The strawberry is an aggregate fruit and not even remotely a citrus fruit.
We exclusively process strawberries from the region - more precisely from Heideobst farm near Soltau. The berries are traditionally picked by hand. This way, we maintain a high quality standard and only process the best berries for the spread.
