Once tried, you will never want to miss the sheepskin trim again. The MATTES saddle pad is always a good choice - whether you ride all-around, dressage, or jumping. If you prefer particularly high quality, we recommend a lambskin pad with sheepskin trim at the front and back on the top, and lambskin on the underside in the saddle seat area.


The saddle pad can be ordered with the CORRECTION® system, either with a single or a double pocket; for each pocket, we supply three felt inserts (POLY-FLEX®), each 5 mm thick, whose pressure properties correspond to those of a good new saddle padded with wool and horsehair. MATTES developed the CORRECTION® system to allow for flexible, simple corrections to the saddle's position of up to 30 mm: For corrections during rapid physical development of young horses in training, for horses after a long period of inactivity, or for trained horses that change significantly during the competition season – simply when quick adjustments are needed. By reinforcing the inserts, or, just as important, by reducing them when the change demands it. It is very important to compensate for permanent irregularities in conformation. These should never be corrected by altering the saddle itself!
