Fabrics & Materials
The Show Rug is made of high-strength 600D polyester with elegant yet timeless diamond quilting. This makes it incredibly difficult to tear the blanket and prevents shavings from sticking to it. To prevent pressure on the shoulder and wither area, the collar of the Show Rug is made of our popular artificial sheepskin. Besides the fancy look, the artificial sheepskin is also much more comfortable. For example, when the horse eats, the blanket does not cut into the chest. The blanket has a 160g Fiberfill filling, which has the same performance as down but does not absorb odor. To prevent chafing, the blanket is lined with our characteristic artificial rabbit fur. This fabric is extra soft and provides a shiny effect on the horse's coat. In addition, the artificial rabbit fur creates tiny air pockets. These pockets trap the horse's body heat and retain it, creating an additional insulating layer. The combination of materials results in a very breathable blanket with a good warmth-to-weight ratio.
Shape & Size
The Show Rug is anatomically shaped and thanks to the artificial rabbit fur, you don't have to worry about the position of the blanket, as it always moves back into place. To better distribute pressure, the front flaps close like a Z and the front closures are easily adjustable for the best fit. The straps and the tail cord are also adjustable and removable. Thanks to the flexibility of the Show Rug, it can be used in many ways and combined with other Kentucky blankets.
The buckles are made of stainless steel and therefore do not rust. The straps of the Show Rug are made of the same material as seat belts and are therefore particularly strong. The brass finish on the buckles and the artificial leather patches make the Show Rug look extra chic.
Care instructions
In addition to the chic look, it was important to us to have easy-care products. Therefore, the tail cord has a plastic coating and the Show Rug is washable. When washing at 30 degrees and without a dryer, the quality of the materials is best preserved.
