What makes it special?
The fly sheet offers the greatest possible protection against insects. This makes it the perfect blanket for horses with sensitive skin. The sheet has a special triangular closure that relieves the horse's chest and withers and is therefore very comfortable when grazing. For additional comfort and protection, we supply a detachable neck piece.
Fabrics & Materials
The fly sheet is made of a densely structured mesh fabric that keeps most insects away. The fabric is extremely strong and will last many summers even in the pasture. The fabric is flat on the inside, feels soft, and ensures that no hair sticks to the sheet. Thanks to its light color, the sheet reflects sunlight and does not heat up. The fine fabric is breathable. The mane, chest, and tail area are lined with smooth polyester to prevent rubbing.
Shape & Size
The fly sheet is anatomically shaped to stay in place even after rolling. The front of the sheet is closed with strong hook-and-loop fasteners and a special triangular closure. Thanks to the triangular closure, you can adjust the sheet more precisely for a better fit. To protect the belly, the sheet also has a belly flap. This flap is closed by a hook-and-loop fastener and 3 straps. Since the belly flap is very close to the horse's belly, it prevents insects from flying in from the sides. The tail flap is slightly longer than usual and has an elastic band, thanks to which the tail stays close to the sheet and offers more protection. The detachable neck part has a thicker and stronger edge so that it does not slide down the neck. Since the reinforcement is on both sides of the neck, it does not exert direct pressure on the mane.
Care instructions
The fly sheet is machine washable at 30 degrees and should be air dried.
