The Bait:
Fermented yeast and baking soda are the main components of the bait. It is free of pesticides and other toxins, making it absolutely environmentally friendly and biodegradable. There are no risks to humans, animals, or the environment. Only flies and wasps are attracted by the smell of the bait. Note: The color of the bait liquid may change over time. This does not affect its effectiveness!
The Trap:
The bait is located in a sealed plastic container with holes. Cones made of plastic mesh are inserted into the holes, through which flies crawl in but are prevented from leaving the trap.
Application:
One or more traps are placed or hung in the area where flies mainly congregate. The optimal positioning height corresponds to the typical flight height of approx. 1.20 – 1.50 m. Regular checking and emptying of the bait on the manure heap is recommended. Traps should be positioned in places as sheltered from the wind as possible.
How it works:
Flies are attracted to the bait when foraging, as it smells like food to them. They enter the trap through the "one-way" openings and cannot leave the trap. Eventually, confinement leads to the death of the flies.
