Accuhorsemat Original – Healthy horses are happy horses
Whether horse owners, trainers, professional or recreational riders – we all have one thing in common: We want to provide our horse with the best possible care. Because a horse that feels good enjoys a better life and performs better.
Let your horse benefit from acupressure, an ancient natural treatment method for relaxation, recovery, and pain relief. Acupressure works similarly to acupuncture, but instead of needles, pressure is applied through so-called acupressure rosettes. The pressure stimulates the acupuncture points and meridians, thus increasing blood circulation, which relaxes the muscles and releases endorphins (happiness hormones). This results in pain relief and mental relaxation.
The "Accuhorsemat Original" model consists of a robust nylon material with a shiny exterior, perfect for colder climates or the winter season. The front closure allows for individual adjustment and secure, quick removal of the blanket.
The acupressure blanket has three Velcro areas where the acupressure mats can be attached:
1. The shoulder area
The acupressure mats for the shoulder area stimulate many meridians and the musculature of the horse's forehand. The acupressure mats can be individually positioned according to your horse's needs using the Velcro.
2. The back area (on both sides along the spine)
The back is one of the most heavily used muscle groups in horses. Placing the acupressure mats on the back stimulates the muscles and the surrounding fascia, helping your horse to relax and recover faster. Blood circulation is increased and back muscle pain is relieved. Simply remove the acupressure mats from the shoulder area and attach them to the Velcro in the back area when needed. (If you want acupressure mats in both the shoulder and back areas simultaneously, you can purchase two additional acupressure mats under item no. 850 03.)
3. The loin and croup area
The acupressure points in the loin and croup area stimulate the horse's most important meridians. The largest of the three acupressure mats is used in this area. This mat contains most of the total of 11,000 acupressure spikes.

Use the Accuhorsemat Original before work, and your horse will be calm, relaxed, and ready for training. Or use the blanket after training/competition for faster recovery and better relaxation. You can also use the blanket before or after transport to give your horse a moment of total relaxation. Start by leaving the blanket on your horse for 10 to 15 minutes. Once your horse gets used to the blanket, you can increase the application time to 30-45 minutes. Observe how your horse reacts. You will quickly find out at what duration your horse feels most comfortable.

The blanket (without acupressure mats) is machine washable at 40° C. The acupressure mats can simply be rinsed off and hung to dry. Neither is suitable for tumble drying.
