The Acavallo Arena Alupro aluminium stirrups feature the new, patented, side-opening stirrups, which are based on several years of intensive research and development. A high-tech combination of metal and polymer materials, manufactured using an innovative, patented injection moulding process. Due to its design and construction based on flexible polymers, the stirrup gives the rider a less rigid and much more comfortable feel than conventional products. The upper part of the footrest is made of stainless steel and is characterised by long horizontal holes that prevent the accumulation of sand and dirt to ensure optimum grip under all conditions; stainless steel also protects it from corrosion, thus guaranteeing a long product life.
The opening of the power-operated locking and unlocking mechanism is located one centimetre higher than the footrest to prevent accidental sideways slipping of the foot and to prevent sand and dirt from delaying the opening of the arm in an emergency.
